Dr. Adam Aviv has received a $78,645 Google Faculty Research Award for the project “Security Assessment of In-App Authentication on Android.” The goal of this project is to study how Android app developers are deploying second-level authentication at the application level by performing a large measurement of the Android application marketplace, and performing developer studies and user studies for how users select this authentication and interact with different authentication implementations.
